Wind Tunnel Festival 2026
zero for reception
May 29-30, 2026
curated by ~ tilde
Zürcher Hochschule der Künste
Rooftop 8.C02
Pfingstweidstrasse 96, 8005 Zürich
We lift the receiver and call into the world. What did you just say? Tabula rasa, Frustzwerg, Swarotzki? Astalavista, Udo Lingo? What words, what paths, what expressions can we (in)vent to remain in conversation? “I hear a B,” and I see a lighthouse.
Who is speaking? We look for long-term connections that celebrate productive misunderstanding. We search for signals – and for practices that allow emotional and embodied flexibility. From the wind we learn that resistance always also means movement: when two currents meet, they must pass by one another – they cannot harden into oppositions.
On May 29 and 30, 2026, the Wind Tunnel invites artists, scientists, and the public to come together and exchange ideas. Through open rehearsals, we will spend time together, exploring new insights and moments of connection.
We approach the wind through sound, film, literature, and music, with contributions by Tobias Becker, Rhona Byrne, Zoe Chun, Lizeth Cordoba Adarme & Manuel Yawar Muyuy & Marine Gigandet, Florian Dombois, Bettina Dyttrich, Andy Graydon, Krispin Hee, Jasmine Parsley, Helene Romakin, Sylvia Sasse, Christian Stein, U5.
